WARNING SIGNS FOR SEEKING CARE
Although it’s never a great idea to put off seeing a dentist, there are times when work, travel, or budgetary concerns can cause you to delay a routine cleaning or small procedure. If you’re facing something bigger, however, it’s important to make an appointment immediately.
Here are three times when you should definitely see a dentist right away:
- When you are experiencing pain or sensitivity. Any kind of discomfort in your mouth, and especially in your teeth or gums, can be a sign of a bigger problem to come. Don’t wait for the pain to go away; make an appointment before it’s too late.
- When you have bleeding gums. There are several possible reasons for bleeding gums, but one of the most important is gum disease, which could lead to tooth loss and bad breath. It only takes a quick appointment to make a diagnosis, so don’t ignore these symptoms.
- When you have a dry mouth. As with bleeding gums, there are several possibilities, but a dry mouth could be the result of a disease that you’ll want treated as soon as possible. Again, don’t get stuck waiting and guessing, when a quick appointment could give you the answers and treatment you need.
If you are experiencing one of these problems, don’t hesitate to make an appointment with our office as soon as you possibly can.
